At H.D. Smith Jewellers, we offer a wide range of professional services to help care for and restore your jewellery and watches. Whether it’s a simple clasp replacement, ring resizing, rhodium plating or more intricate restoration work, we treat every piece with the same level of attention and care.
Repairs
All jewellery repairs are assessed individually, and we always provide a no-obligation quote before any work is carried out. This allows you to make an informed decision with no pressure, just honest advice and transparent pricing.
Engraving
Our engraving service is carried out in-store using a traditional engraving machine, giving a classic and precise finish to trophies and personalised items.
Each piece is individually assessed, and we are happy to provide a quote and estimated timescale. As all engraving varies depending on the item, wording, and current workload, we recommend getting in touch or visiting us in-store to discuss your requirements.
Watch Battery Replacement
We offer watch battery replacements carried out with care and attention to ensure your watch continues to run reliably.
In many cases, batteries can be replaced the same day; however, this will depend on how busy our workshop is at the time. During busier periods, you may be asked to leave your watch with us, and we will advise you on an estimated timescale when you visit.
Link Removal
We also offer watch link removal and strap replacement to ensure your watch is comfortable and fits perfectly. Link removal is free when you buy the watch from us. We stock a selection of watch straps, making it easy to refresh your watch and give it a new lease of life.
These services are often completed the same day, but during busier periods you may be asked to leave your watch with us. We will always advise you on timescales when you visit.
